Now, please pay attention to this. This is quite important because I get asked about this a lot. Throughout the course, you will see me load a query result as a connection only. Why do I do that and why should you do it? Simply, it can reduce clutter in your workbook. More specifically, if you have a lot of queries and you have some that are intermediate steps that you really don't need to see, load those as a query only to keep them out of your way. So let's look at a scenario. We have first and last names in columns B and C. We've got names in F and birthdays in column G. I want to stack these two datasets but they've got to be formatted. I need to split column F into first and last names. Also, I don't care about the birthdays. There are duplicates that need to be removed. Notice Spider York is in both datasets and Martina McDonald.
