The onboarding experience
- When you look at the next piece of the employee experience which encapsulates the onboarding, it actually comes into two pieces. One is the pre-onboarding, and then the other one is day one plus a tail. And this moment is where you start sharing as a leader your employee value proposition. What do we stand for, is it pay-for-performance, respect, inclusion, diversity, how we expect to treat you, performance management in your learning, how we recognize your great achievements, we share all those things when you onboard any company. Naturally happens. And then employees, we are always measuring you, the company, against that value prop. Are you delivering on your promise? How has it manifested in your company? And we check ourselves subconsciously, consciously, all the time. So, be careful what you promise, make sure you're delivering it, and if it's a future journey that you're growing into, then set milestones…
