课程: Difficult Conversations about Politics at Work

The need to have difficult conversations

- This is an audio course. No need to watch, just listen. - Hi, my name is Kwame Christian and I am the director of the American Negotiation Institute and an attorney at the law firm of Carlile Patchen and Murphy. Here at the American Negotiation Institute, we believe that the best things in life are on the other side of difficult conversations and our goal with everything we do is to help make those difficult conversations easier. So first, with this course, let me give you a quick disclaimer. This course is non partisan. It's not about persuasion, it's not about flipping votes or anything like that. This is a course that is about clear communication and conflict resolution. A number of our clients have reached out to us because they are struggling to keep the peace during this tumultuous political season. Colleagues at work are at times finding it difficult to collaborate because they can't reconcile their political differences. We've all been caught in heated political arguments where emotions are high and civility is low. The goal of this course is to help you and your colleagues maintain the peace at work, so you can overcome these differences, increase team cohesion and get good work done. And as an added bonus, this will also help you with those awkward conversations with your friends and family too. After this course, you'll be able to bring civility and respect back to these discussions, so you don't need to walk around in fear of these inevitable difficult conversations. Let's get started.
