Navigation basics

- [Instructor] Now that we have something in our workspace, let's talk about navigation. So for most CAD programs, a three button mouse is recommended, and that's what I'll be using in this project. In Fusion 360, we use our left mouse button to select menu options, draw geometry. To pan, click and hold the center mouse button to move the object around the screen, and then to zoom, scroll the center mouse wheel back and forth. To orbit, hold down the Shift key, hold down that center mouse wheel, and orbit around in three dimensions. You can also use the view cube over here on the side to return to any asymmetric view. Let's go back to the top, and click and hold the center mouse wheel to recenter our object. If you'd prefer, these navigation options are also available as buttons on the bottom of your screen.
