- [Instructor] One of the rules of thumb in the data world is that data preparation typically accounts for 80% of the time in the data project, you got to spend a lot of time to get it ready before you can do the analysis, and one of the important parts of getting data prepared is taking text open-ended responses, that's things like tweets and social media posts, and open-ended questions, and putting it into a format that's going to be easy to analyze for the computer, and normally that means turning it into numbers.
