You might have a lot of content that was written by several different people over a long period of time, so what should you do first? I suggest that in the short term, you start by working out which pages get the most traffic, and ensuring that they are as well written as they can be using the guidelines in this course. Then look at pages with a high bounce rate. That is people visit them, but don't stay long enough to read anything or follow through. The bounce rate indicates that people didn't find what they expected to when they followed the link either from your site or from a search engine. Check the search terms from the referral link or the link text from other pages on your site to find out what they were really after and then rewrite the text on the page to make its purpose clearer.
