- [Instructor] Chat conversation, also known as direct messaging or DM, is another fun way for members to connect with each other and with you in the Mighty Networks platform. Up here at the top right, the number of your unread messages is shown here on the chat icon. Clicking the icon opens the list of your existing chats with the latest messages at the top. You can open one to read it and respond. You can start a new conversation with up to eight other members using the plus icon. Choose who you'd like to talk to and start the chat. It's easy to start a private conversation with someone you found interesting in the comments. Click their profile picture and open the chat. Hosts of a Mighty Network have the option to turn on a chat room for all members of a network or members in a space in the network to chat together, just like this one.
