Normally, installing a package in R is straightforward. Just use instal.packages and if the package is on CRAN, you're all done. However, quanteda has chosen to break parts out into separate packages. So instead of one install, there are many. I've included a complete list in the exercise files. Well, let's step through the different packages and explain their purpose. The first and most obvious step is installing quanteda. There are a few standard packages that go along with the base installation. Textmodels includes some example datasets and functions for advanced calculations. Textstats provides functions for statistics on words such as frequency or readability. Textplots provides visualizations such as word clouds and networks.
