Understanding your EQ to lead
- All of us can access the human qualities of self-discipline, persistence, humility, empathy, willingness to change, gratitude and faith. The harder we work to activate, strengthen, and master these qualities, the better leaders we will become. It starts with a simple awareness of each quality and how they are showing up in our daily efforts to do our jobs and to lead. Being aware of the emotional qualities which we embody help us to successfully lead. This awareness reminds us to play on those strengths when communicating with employees or colleagues. More importantly, understanding the emotional qualities which need to strengthen or need more work enables us to train and grow into becoming better and more effective and enlightened leaders.
