- I've worked with dozens of teams on innovation projects and teams experience many of the same pitfalls. Let's walk through a few you're likely to encounter and some ways to overcome them. A common pitfall when getting started is to include everyone on the project, or to do the opposite, hide in your corner and not involve anyone. A good approach is to have a small core team that can be nimble and move quickly.
