- Got what it takes to host a social audio room? Think of hosting a live room like conducting an orchestra. A conductor is in control of the flow of the ensemble to make them louder or softer, faster or slower. If something sounds off, the conductor has the ability to bring it back together. As a host, you're in charge of directing each person to speak. A host sets the tone for the room and if something goes wrong the host would have to quickly change the mood to get back on track. Before hosting a room ask yourself how you would like to conduct it. Do you want to be a solo host where you control the room all by yourself? I wouldn't suggest this if you're first starting out.
