- [Instructor] This set of mock-ups include some very common slide arrangements. The title's in the same spot, the text is all about the same size. There's not a lot of white space or empty space. Everything fills up the slide. When you look at these as a set, you see that they look repetitive and blah. Not much changes. There's little variety and nothing grabs our attention. You can break up this monotony by changing the composition a bit. Titles, texts, pictures, graphics. They don't always have to be in the same exact place on every single slide. The key to doing this the right way is to start with a design grid. A design grid is an underlying invisible structure of rows and columns that helps you organize a line and position images, text, and other slide elements. It's the foundation that invisible armature or framework holding everything in place. Design grids are used to establish consistency and visual harmony throughout a series of slides.
