- We're going to look at three ways to add variety to your slides. First up, let's explore ways to vary composition or ways to rearrange elements on the slide. This is the edited version of the H+ Sport's slide supporting active healthy lifestyles. This is a title and content layout with the slide title at the top and bulleted text underneath. It's the most common slide type. It's also a basic and uninteresting way to present this information. Currently, the slide includes only text. We haven't begun to add color or other design elements yet. Before we do that, let's look at other ways that we can vary the composition by rearranging the bits of text. I like to sketch new ideas on paper. These sketches or thumbnails can be very small, a few inches or centimeters wide. You can use scrap paper or a blank sheet of paper for sketching, or you can print a blank handout page in PowerPoint to use for this.
