In this method of testing releases come out of sprints that last over a couple of weeks. and during that time, everyone is focused on testing a small number of changes. This means that delta testers are not really signing up for a single project, but for an ongoing test commitment that can last months, because of this, the type of testers is going to be slightly different than your typical alpha or beta tester. Certainly like alpha and beta there is a core demographic profile for the user. These things are central to most tests, but in the case of delta, testers are very likely going to be people who will use the test product really frequently.
