- [Instructor] Before we get into specifics about the Cloud Development Kit, let's take a moment to look at the infrastructure components that we're trying to build and also the CloudFormation code that is required to create them. This will give us a better perspective of the benefits of the CDK. At the core of any cloud infrastructure, you'll have the virtual private netware itself and the subnets that you create within that network. You create subnets within your virtual private cloud with the intent of grouping resources that are going to be bound to certain routing rules. These routing rules will determine if your subnets are going to be public, private or isolated from traffic.
