- [Instructor] Now that we know why it's important to use a framework like AWS SAM for developing serverless application, let's install it and configure it in your computer. Before installing AWS SAM, you need to have an AWS account, an IAM admin user, an access key and secret key for the user to access AWS programmatically. If you don't have those prerequisites, follow the video, Creating IAM Users, in the Learning Lambda course in the LinkedIn Learning Library. Also, you need to have an AWS CLI install and configure in your your machine. For doing that, you can follow the installations instructions in the installation guide of the AWS CLI for your operating system. After you install the CLI, you can check the version that you have installed by going to your terminal and typing AWS dash dash version.
