- The next step in building our demo environment is to create an EC2 virtual machine instance. This virtual machine instance is going to act as a web server. So as you can see, I'm logged into the Amazon management console and we need to go into EC2. You can find that in the compute section, I'll just click the EC2 link. And this is going to bring me to the EC2 dashboard. So I'm going to scroll down just a little bit, and I'm going to click on launch instance, followed by launch instance. And this is going to take me to an interface that allows me to create an EC2 instance.
