- Scrum has five events. The first event is the sprint. This is the work period to produce an iteration of the workable product, which is time boxed to 30 calendar days or less. The sprint is the container event for the other four scrum events, which all happen within the sprint. The sprint begins with an event called sprint planning. It is the event in which the scrum team defines what the development team works on, and how they will execute the plan. During the sprint, the development team meets every day to inspect their work and adapt it to be more efficient. This event is called the daily scrum. The sprint ends with two events called the sprint review and sprint retrospective. In the sprint review, the scrum team reviews their work and progress that occurred during a sprint. This event includes external stakeholders, and is the time when future work is planned. The last event is the sprint retrospective.
