The agile manifesto from a business analyst perspective
- Agile is an umbrella term for a mindset and a way of working, and it embodies the values of the Agile Manifesto. The Agile manifesto is made up of four values and 12 principles. These are the foundation of Agile ways of working, and it's important to understand that they're not a methodology. The Agile principles are being applied to all sorts of work outside of software as well. Feedback, teamwork and working to accumulate value over risk are key themes in an Agile mindset. So let's take a look at how the Agile Manifesto applies to business analysis and requirements work. First of the four values is individuals and interactions over processes and tools. For BAs, this means that we are human-centric and put people at the center of our work.
