- [Instructor] This chapter focuses on the final steps we need to complete in order to buy a 3D print from Shapeways. In this video, we'll erase the back of our mesh and export it. When we create mesh files for 3D printing, they need to be water tight i.e. a complete surface with no holes. This next step might seem a little counter intuitive, but bare with me. Let's orbit to the back of the lion using that Center Mask button. We're going to use the Select tool. The brush I'm going to paint a circle here on the back. Under Modify, you can see we have this option to smooth boundary. You can also use the hot key b. We get a preview of this blue line here. We can adjust that preview. I'll have to get it a little smoother. Then, I'll choose Accept. Then, I can hit X to delete those faces. Now that's one option. The other option is to delete the whole back face.
