Vice President
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities while managing and expanding significant existing client relationships.
- Leverage M&A expertise, particularly regarding representations, warranties, indemnities, and their limitations in transaction agreements.
- Receive comprehensive training on the M&A insurance market and proven broking methodology.
- Participate in business development meetings, pitches, and client presentations, eventually leading discussions and developing a personal client base.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior professionals as the team continues to grow.
- Engage in complex risk analysis, structuring customized insurance solutions tailored to specific deal requirements.
- Ensure exceptional client service throughout the transaction lifecycle, recognizing that brokerage commissions can range from $10K to over $1M per policy.
Qualifications:
- Degree from a top-tier university.
- 3–6 years of experience as a lawyer at a leading law firm (preferred).
- Strong foundation in M&A/real estate transactions, including expertise in purchase agreements and private equity, and RWI insurance (preferred).
- Ability to articulate and explain additional product offerings, including Tax, Structured Solutions, and Credit insurance.
- Capacity to lead deal execution, working both independently and in collaboration with senior team members.
- Demonstrated technical expertise, serving as an internal resource on transactional and risk-related matters.
- Ability to establish and nurture client relationships, acting as a key point of contact during deal negotiations.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex legal and financial concepts into actionable insights for clients and insurers.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience reviewing legal documents, due diligence reports, and deal structures.
