The Corporate Accounting & Finance Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of CB&I, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, maintaining compliance with financial regulations, and providing valuable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Overview
The Corporate Accounting & Finance Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of CB&I, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, maintaining compliance with financial regulations, and providing valuable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Financial Operations
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Monitor cash flow, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure proper financial controls are in place.
- Providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision making at all levels of the organization.
- Manage and establish external support relationships to enhance operational efficiency.
- Financial Reporting
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure that financial reporting is accurate, reliable, and complies with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Risk Management and Compliance
- Collaborate with business divisions and functional departments to identify potential risks and develop control measures to mitigate them.
- Assess the effectiveness of existing controls and make recommendations for improvements when necessary.
- Establishing and maintaining a comprehensive set of financial policies that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Developing internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate the risk of fraud or financial mismanagement.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Coordinating internal and external audits working with auditors to provide necessary documentation and support.
- Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with leadership to align financial goals with the overall strategic objectives of the company.
- Identify opportunities to reduce expenses, maximize revenue, and drive overall financial performance.
- Provide expert financial counsel to the finance team, influencing business decisions and strategic direction.
- Serve as a strategic partner in key financial initiatives, collaborating with leadership to drive growth and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate potential investments, acquisitions, or partnerships by conducting financial analysis and due diligence to help assess the financial viability and risks associated with these initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA Certification: Active CPA license preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years in accounting and financial roles, with at least 7-10 years in a leadership position.
- Previous experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Strong preference for construction and percentage-of-completion accounting experience.
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
- Knowledge of ERP accounting software (JD Edwards or Oracle Cloud experience a plus)
- Hyperion HFM and Smartview, or comparable reporting system experience is required.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with business leaders.
- The ability to interact with company personnel, build strong relationships at all levels and across all business units and organizations, and understand business imperatives.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Robust knowledge of US GAAP and US SEC financial reporting.
- Skilled in using financial management software.
- Possess advanced knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
- Ability to conduct financial analysis and provide insights for decision-making purposes.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee and company information.
- Strong ability to manage, mentor, and guide and motivate team members, delegate tasks effectively, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner and communicate financial insights to non-financial professionals.
- Excellent report and presentation development skills, including using tools to illustrate data, trends, and forecasts graphically.
- Excellent presentation delivery skills, including the ability to speak confidently to underlying data and data-driven insights to internal technical and management teams.
- Advanced verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with individuals across all levels of the organization.
