Position Overview

The Alkami Sales team is looking for a smart and charismatic Solution Engineer to support sales of the Alkami digital banking platform. An ideal candidate would excel at presenting, love reviewing product release notes, and be a strong problem solver. Important communication skills include the ability to clearly explain and document business logic and requirements, building rapport and trust with prospects, and consultative sales techniques. Alkami Solution Consultants serve as the bridge between Product and Sales and are advanced at demoing our product, identifying prospect needs, and keeping up to date with the latest features and services available on our platform.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Stay current with latest product releases and product roadmap
  • Conduct product demonstrations (in-person and WebEx)
  • Identify and document gaps between Alkami product line and financial institution (FI) expectations.
  • Liaise with Alkami Product and Sales teams to resolve gaps and document solutions to the mutual satisfaction the interested parties
  • Work with Alkami New Logo Sales Executives to qualify and identify prospect needs
  • Position Alkami against competitor strengths and weaknesses
  • Create presentations and diagrams to capture sales requirements
  • Participate actively in preparation meetings for remote and on-site meetings
  • Act as a trusted consultant for prospects during the due diligence process
  • Work with the Alkami Product team to best fit prospect requests with Product roadmap
  • Remain current with industry trends, vendor relationships, etc

Qualifications

  • 5+ years Solution Engineering/Consulting or related experience
  • Excellent at documenting technical requirements
  • Astute and Engaging Presenter: Ability to present and develop rapport with prospects
  • Professional Aggressiveness: Expressed attitude and desire to achieve
  • Technically Articulate: Ability to communicate technical solutions to a non-technical audience

Desired Skills

  • Our ideal candidate lives and breathes retail and small business banking and can connect with bankers as one of their own. We need someone who understands the intricacies of retail and small business banking and can partner effectively with our sales executives to help shape and position tailored solutions that make a meaningful difference to community financial institutions' everyday operations and customer interactions.
  • Experience with Google Enterprise Apps
