JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and results-driven Social Media Manager to manage all aspects of our social media efforts, including strategic development, content creation, and analytics. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and deploying effective social media strategies for both organic and paid efforts.


For organic social media, impact will be measured both at the corporate level and, to an even greater extent, at the store level. To that end, helping our franchisees develop a strong foundation in social media will be an important part of the role. You will also be integrally involved in our content creation efforts to help support over $4 million of paid digital advertising spend. In all cases, collaboration with other internal departments, as well as our external marketing agency, will be critical to success.


This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the camera, has an eye for editing, and can create content that captivates and inspires across platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. You’ll play a key role in amplifying the Uptown Cheapskate and Kid to Kid brands by producing scroll-stopping content that resonates with our audiences.


Paid Advertising Content Creation:

  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager and external agencies to create assets for over $4 million in annual paid digital advertising spend.
  • Support new store openings by producing content for pre-launch campaigns that drive excitement and awareness.
  • Optimize campaigns to maximize ROI and achieve marketing goals, using insights from key performance metrics.


Franchisee Training & Support:

  • Create and distribute training materials, playbooks, and guides to empower franchisees with social media and digital marketing best practices.
  • Conduct workshops and consultations to help franchisees enhance their local social media presence and paid advertising efforts.


Corporate Social Media Management:

  • Develop and execute the social media strategy for our corporate accounts across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.


Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Manage and mentor the social media team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the design team, digital marketing team, and other internal departments.


Analytics & Optimization:

  • Track, analyze, and optimize performance metrics for paid advertising efforts, corporate accounts, and franchisee accounts where applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in social media content creation and digital marketing.
  • Experience with brick-and-mortar retail, preferably in a multi-location or franchised business.
  • Proficiency in shooting and editing video for platforms like Instagram Reels, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Familiarity with digital advertising platforms (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads).
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, brand voice, and platform-specific content strategies.
  • Ability to use tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other editing apps.
  • Experience with campaign performance analysis and optimization.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills.
  • Creative mindset and a passion for social media trends.
  • Willingness to help wherever needed and a mentality that no task is too small.


BENEFITS

This role is based at our headquarters in North Salt Lake, UT at the base of the Wasatch mountains. Depending on the candidate’s level of experience and fit with the role, we will consider a remote position in certain geographies that are in close proximity to our stores. We offer competitive pay and benefits that include:


  • $70,000 – $90,000 of total annual compensation (salary & bonus), depending on prior experience
