Position: Senior Digital Twin Engineer
As a Senior Digital Twin Engineer, you will dive into the heart of cloud-native architectures, exploring the features and benefits supporting digital twin solutions. The ideal candidate will have a background in cloud-native architectures, digital twin technologies, and knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) IT policies / standards. This role involves extensive research, evaluation, and documentation of infrastructure environments supporting digital twin solutions, with a focus on cloud-native architectures and cultural vs. policy influences on tool usage within DoD contexts.

What You Will Be Doing
- Research, evaluate, and document the current state of infrastructure environments supporting digital twin solutions, focusing on cloud-native architectures and compliance with relevant standards
- Assess the breadth of DoD-compliant digital twin solutions and provide insights into the cultural vs. policy aspects influencing the use of current tools
- Evaluate selected digital twin applications infrastructure environments against standard reference architectures for cloud-native applications
- Inform and help establish digital twin infrastructure evaluation criteria
- Investigate the impacts of culture and policy in the context of current DoD tools and document findings
- Conduct evaluations of cloud-native digital twin solution options and infrastructure to support a successful implementation of digital twin solutions
- Evaluate approximately five digital twin applications against available, published OSD standard reference architectures for cloud-native
- Provide insights into industry practices concerning digital twins and the infrastructures that support digital twin solutions
- Document software company business models and their impact on government evaluation and decisions
- Observe and document common digital toolsets and their components
- Review and evaluate current digital twinning technologies and solutions available in the market
- Explore infrastructure limitations and process improvements as applied to digital twin solutions
- Conduct assessments, studies, and roadmap development
- Maintain close partnership and open communication with the project manager and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with Air Force objectives.
- Conduct weekly calls and prepare monthly progress reports
Experience in cloud-native architectures and digital twin technologies
