Role Overview:


Sell Up is seeking a professional and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for selling business services and tax strategy offerings ($5,000-$10,000) on behalf of our Tax Firm clients across the country. You will engage with business owners, helping them understand the financial benefits of these services and guiding them toward solutions that support their business goals.

This is a full-time, remote, commission-only role with a structured 3-month salary bridge during onboarding. You will be paid as a 1099 contractor.

What We Offer:

Key Responsibilities:


  • Available most days from 9 am-5 pm local time to take inbound scheduled meetings (~70% of the time) and warm outbound calls (10% of the time) 
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Maintain a clear, up-to-date, and accurate pipeline in our CRM and document all interactions with all prospects and clients in the “notes” section of CRM.
  • Use both internal and external resources to maintain up-to-date knowledge of our products and industry
  • Follow up diligently and consistently with potential clients over extended periods
  • Educate prospects on our offerings from an expert perspective
  • Allow the Head of Sales to shadow calls and give feedback
  • Collaborate with the team to formulate ideas on how to best serve our clients
  • Collaborate with team to ensure smooth transitions


Expected Outcomes:


  • All prospects are properly moved in CRM and information is documented on client details so service staff has proper expectations by EOD
  • A close rate of 20% or 15+ deals sold per month is maintained
  • All qualified prospects are consistently followed up with indefinitely
  • There is an effective line of communication among the team in which all necessary information is communicated promptly
  • Contractor remains well-versed in the latest product offerings through continued education/training


Requirements:


  • High-volume transactional sales experience (1+ years required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 1+ years experience selling to Small Business Owners (SMB)
  • Must be great at presenting
  • Open to learning new processes in sales
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets (required)
  • Receives constructive criticism well and is coachable
  • Self-motivated, gritty, and target-driven
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Prior experience selling in the financial services or tax industry (preferred)
  • Well-organized and able to maintain a pipeline that can be observed and understood by the Sales Leader
  • U.S. and Canada based only
