Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and driven Sales Operations Manager to support our sales organization and report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer. This role is critical in optimizing sales processes, analyzing performance metrics, and driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication capabilities, and a deep understanding of sales operations.


Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility is to ensure streamlined sales and bid process flow by managing critical steps in the bid process and handoffs to operations after bid award by:


  • Collaborate with the CRO to ensure alignment between sales and broader revenue strategies.
  • Engage with teams to design, implement, and maintain efficient sales workflows and processes in HubSpot.
  • Identify and remove bottlenecks in the sales pipeline to improve conversion rates.
  • Develop and document standardized procedures for the sales team, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Work closely with sales management to co-manage inbound lead handling and bid processing.
  • Quarterback qualified deals through the costing and pricing process to ensure a streamlined and timely bid process experience for customers.
  • Liaise with Legal for tasks such as uploading signed documents and managing the migration of legacy documents into the system.


Additional Responsibilities:

Additional responsibilities for the position will be to report on the business, own internal CRM management (HubSpot), and ensure that all records are accurate by:


  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of sales data within HubSpot, including contact, account, and deal records.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs such as lead conversion rates, pipeline health, win rates, and sales velocity.
  • Provide data-driven insights to sales leadership for forecasting and strategic decision-making.
  • Train sales team members on HubSpot functionality and new tools or processes.
  • Continuously monitor and improve CRM utilization to enhance productivity.
  • Assist with quota assignments and sales team performance tracking.
  • Partner with marketing to improve lead generation and qualification strategies.
  • Coordinate integrations between HubSpot and other internal systems to enhance productivity, improve data quality, and streamline workflows.
  • Support integration of any revenue and customer related data from acquired entities into HubSpot.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales operations, CRM management (specifically HubSpot), and bid management.
  • Proficient in HubSpot and comfortable with CRM systems; certification in HubSpot preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and metrics.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with proposal management tools that API into HubSpot.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Telecommunications, fiber construction industry, or familiarity with industry-specific bid processes.
  • Background in sales or marketing functions to understand customer engagement strategies.
