Overview
The Sales Effectiveness Manager, Sales Plays will play a critical role in supporting the development and execution of Sales Plays from within the Sales Play Center of Excellence. This role collaborates closely with Sales Acceleration Managers and cross-functional teams across Marketing and Revenue Operations. Sales Plays are a top strategic initiative within Paychex, aiming to accelerate growth via repeatable, integrated, data-driven sales & marketing efforts. Primary focuses entail assisting in selection of target accounts, translating complex data into actionable insight, creating outreach strategies, and effectively communicating the results of Sales Plays to key partners.

Supports the development and execution throughout all phases of the Sales Play, ensuring alignment with company goals and Sales objectives.
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 annually . Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.

Responsibilities
Supports the development and execution throughout all phases of the Sales Play, ensuring alignment with company goals and Sales objectives.
- Helps identify account criteria and develops strategies to engage said accounts effectively
- Collaborates with Sales Acceleration Managers to explore data that may validate or justify potential markets and industries of interest being targeted in an Annual Sales Play Roadmap
- Works in lockstep with Sales Acceleration Managers and Sales Leaders to monitor Sales Play performance via Power BI and Salesforce Dashboards and make recommendations for improvement
- Responsible for the creation of data centric meeting materials for the launch and execution phases of Sales Plays, including kickoff and training materials
- Provides Sales Leaders and Reps with compelling data and insights that inspire actionable outcomes meant to increase engagement and enhance performance in Sales Plays
- ill work directly with the Business Intelligence team to request net new data sources and or iterations to current data sources and will be responsible for testing and approving final versions of said data sources in Power BI or Salesforce
- When necessary, will coordinate with Campaign Analysts on the build, roll out and enhancement of reports, dashboards and CRM views that support leadership visibility and field execution on key deliverables to drive productivity, pipeline velocity and revenue.
- May assist in the creation of Job Aids to provide instruction for technical resources and processes
- Regularly analyzes data and market trends to make recommendations for adjustments to Sales Plays and future Sales Play Roadmaps
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or equivalent work experience
- 4 years of experience in analytics & insights, storytelling with data, developing and implementing effective processes, procedures and programs. The ability to be an effective leader, manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate activities in multiple locations and inspire action with data.
- 4 years of experience in Sales Support or Sales Operations or Training with a thorough understanding of field sales business process and sales cycles.
- CRM, Office 365 and sales tools experience will be necessary (Power BI, Salesforce, Groove, Conquer Cadence, Powerpoint)
