The Sales / Application Engineer position is a newly created position. And as a key member of the team, you will provide technical expertise to customers while working closely with regional sales team on every phase of the sales cycle to drive sales growth and maintain customer relationships in data center / mission critical industries. You will be a people-focused tech expert with passion in solving customer’s problem and attentive to details.

You will be a people-focused tech expert with passion in solving customer’s problem and attentive to details.
Responsibilities
- Be a technical resource to support or lead product applications/technical discussions with customers to develop and offer technical solutions.
- Work with sales managers, representatives and distributors during the sales process as the technical lead to review project specification, equipment selection, system design and cost estimates to present comprehensive proposal.
- Conduct routine technical product presentation/demonstration at lunch and learn sessions with consultants, channel partners and end users.
- Prepare technical response to RFP/RFI and assist sales managers with project submittals that includes CAD drawings and system schematics.
- Collaborate with field technician to provide post sales technical support as needed.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and identify new application tech or product enhancement opportunities.
- Work across functional teams including engineering, field/tech support and operations on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Technical training in the field with channel partners, consultants, and end users.
- Participate in tradeshows and other marketing initiative with focus to raise product awareness and increase sales.
- Responsible to update project folders with relevant technical documentations.
Requirements
- At least 3 - year experience professional experience in same capacity.
- Bachelor degree in technical fields – ME, EE, or equivalent
- Experience gathering customer requirements, white boarding/presenting solutions, develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and preparing Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Data center, building management system, mission critical facility, HVAC, fuel system or fire suppression system experience highly desirable.
- Understanding of sensing technology and monitoring system.
- Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCad, take-off tools such as Bluebeam or Adobe etc.
- Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally as needed.
