Client:

Our client is a multi-family office in NYC that manages a substantial amount of capital for a small number of families. They provide wide-ranging investment management and wealth management services to a sophisticated client base.

Opportunity:

They are seeking a Research Analyst to work on a small team that provides investment management services and manager research for their clients. Investments are made across a wide range of public and private market funds and other securities. They are seeking a driven and collegial professional looking to build a career in the family office space.

Responsibilities:

• Perform ongoing diligence of currently held fund investments
• Research potential new areas of investment including sourcing and conducting diligence on opportunistic new fund investments, both in the public and private investment space
• Prepare critical analysis of fund managers versus public market comps
• Create and update manager summaries, investment memos, and presentations on fund investments
• Communicate internally and externally about the fund investments

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of work experience in banking, investment research preferred
• Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university with strong record of academic achievement and test scores
• Intellectual curiosity and interest in investments across public and private markets
• Strong organizational skills and ability to drive project management
• Strong communication and presentation skills for the possibility of client interaction and long term development
• Motivated self-starter comfortable working both collaboratively in small teams and independently while managing multiple projects under deadlines
