This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Private Client Services team. We are seeking a strong sales performer with leadership skills. We are open to hiring someone who will make an impact solely as an individual contributor or as a sales manager of the Private Client team. The title and compensation will be commensurate to the level of one’s private client and supervisory experience.

This is a hybrid role that requires some on-site work (inside our Indianapolis, Indiana office). In addition to the on-site duties, there are additional responsibilities that can be completed outside of the office, resulting in this being a hybrid role.
This position assists our high-net-worth members by being a single point of contact for all financial needs. The role collaborates with other departments to provide our members with a concierge level experience. Duties that are specifically tied to the Private Client management role are indicated as such below.
You will learn how to be the expert to best serve our members:
- Interview clients to determine financial position, resources, assets available to invest, financial goals, lending needs and client background.
- Collect and analyze personal and business financials to determine solutions and advice for structuring deposit and lending transactions.
- Advise member, where possible, concerning business management and personal financial matters and build consistent and long-term financial advisory relationships with clients.
You will make a difference as you live out our purpose:
- Follow up with members on a regular basis through phone calls and personal visits.
- Assure all transactions are in compliance with pertinent laws and regulations.
- Prepare and deliver clear, effective and professional presentations.
- Coordinate all credit union services for assigned individual’s cross-selling new products and services as appropriate.
- Work closely with other areas of the credit union being the primary liaison between the member and the rest of the organization.
- Demonstrate consistent support of company’s strategic direction through actions in both personal and professional settings. Maintain the flexibility to grow across the credit union in knowledge.
- Demonstrate ability to manage and lead change. Seen as a model for others in the organization on which they can base their development. (Specific to a Private Client Officer sales manager role)
- Attend and actively participate in management meetings, offering ideas, insights and recommendations on CU policies, staffing, member service, new business, and other topics that ultimately impact the overall results of the CU. (Specific to a Private Client Officer sales manager role)
You will help grow the business:
- Actively drive new business development for targeted client segment through internal and external referral sources
- Develop and maintain high-net-worth client relationships for existing members.
- Maintain professional and community relations to increase the credit union’s visibility and new business opportunities, and to further personal development.
- Find, suggest, and implement ways to improve profitability, including improving/streamlining internal systems or procedures, expense reduction, etc.
You will continue to grow professionally:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of industry and meet with specialized colleagues or external resources for expert advice on industry, financial, legal, and/or regulatory issues.
- Demonstrate consistent history of strong performance by meeting and often exceeding expectations.
- Keep abreast of local and national economic, financial, legislative events which could have an impact on the division's activities.
You will develop your people:
- Manage, coach, train and foster the development of others in the department. (Specific to a Private Client Officer sales manager role)
- Provide direction on prioritization, tasks, and departmental project management to ensure departmental initiatives are completed efficiently and effectively. (Specific to a Private Client Officer sales manager role)
- Demonstrate the ability to manage conflict in a professional business manner.
- Develop team by ensuring full understanding of projects, providing effective feedback (positive and constructive), and identifying and promoting growth opportunities. (Specific to a Private Client Officer sales manager role)
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University (Preferred for individual contributor role; required for Private Client sales manager role)
- Series 7 & 66 licenses, and Indiana insurance license preferred.
- 1-3 years’ supervisory experience. (Specific to a Private Client Officer sales manager role)
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in financial services preferably with high-net-worth individuals.
- Possess the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong collaboration and communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to leverage skills, knowledge, and experience to invest in our community.
- Ability to foster an inclusive environment that promotes belonging.
- A focus on respect and excellent service to both external and internal (team) members.
- A proven track record of integrity with a demonstrated ability to build trust.
- A proven track record of quality loan growth and business development.
- Position requires S.A.F.E Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
- Demonstrate a proficient use of technology tools and possess knowledge of basic technology navigation skills.
Additional sales incentive compensation is earned in this role
