Sr. Manager, Pharmacovigilance

Our client, a growing biotech company, is hiring a Sr. Manager, Pharmacovigilance for a 6-month contract (with strong potential for extension or conversion). This role focuses on operational PV tasks, including case review, reconciliation, and study team participation.

?? Location: Strong preference for local candidates (PST) (occasional in-office presence)

?? Hours: 40 hours/week

?? Rate: $70-80/hour (approx. $145k-165k over a year)

?? Ideal Background: RN, BSN, or PharmD with 5+ years in biotech/pharma PV

About the Role

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Pharmacovigilance, the Sr. Manager, Pharmacovigilance, will play a key operational role in case reviews, study team participation, reconciliation, and ensuring smooth workflow management. The position skews more towards operational execution rather than PV science.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct case reviews, safety data tracking, and reconciliation activities.
• Serve as a representative on study management teams.
• Oversee daily interactions with PV vendors and internal teams.
• Ensure proper processing and reporting of safety reports in compliance with global regulations.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, Safety Management Plans, and other process-related documents.
• Assist with inspection readiness and compliance tracking.
• Support PV-related training programs for internal and external teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: RN, BSN, or PharmD preferred.
• Experience:
• 5+ years in pharmacovigilance within biotech/pharma (not academia).
• Working knowledge of global PV regulations, MedDRA, WHODrug, and safety databases (ARGUS, ARISg).
