Manager of Programming Services

We are currently seeking a Manager of Programming Services for our client in Albany, NY. The Manager of Programming Services will work closely with the client’s departments to create efficiencies and help achieve operation excellence for our client’s Business Systems as well as provided services. In addition to being the Subject Matter Expert for the client’s ERP system, this position will also play a crucial role in the development and long-term planning of the programming services unit. This will include evaluating new technologies, programming methodologies and available “off the shelf” solutions. In addition to project management this position will also provide leadership and mentor the counties diverse team of application developers and website programmers.

ERP (Munis) Planning, Support, & Management

• Security & Account Auditing

Technology Support

• Knowledge in at least one.NET language such as C# and Visual Basic and HTML/CSS
• Proficient in SharePoint development, knowledge of Microsoft 365 integration, and in user experience design
• Developing applications using a low-code platform for reducing business costs and performing automated tasks
• Enterprise Support: Analyze and understand business processes and workflows to optimize performance

Application Development & Support Management

• In House Application Development Planning
• Database Management and Planning
• Capacity & Information Security Planning
• Data Classification & Inventory Management

Staff Leadership & Mentoring

• Establish documented unit and personnel goals
• Succession and Skills Planning

Documentation

• Standard Operating Procedure Development
• Support Ticket Documentation Management
• Programming/Code Documentation

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of various programming methodologies and languages.
• Strong problem solving and leadership skills to be successful.
• Self-starter that not only works well independently but also as part of a larger team.
• Ability to communicate effectively to all departments on express complex technological issues.
• 3+ years of software development experience with up-to-date technologies
• 3+ years of Project Management Experience
• 1+ years of Employee Management Experience
• BS in Technology or Engineering related programs

Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00
