This position may be filled remotely or in any of our locations.

The Learning Specialist is responsible for the design and delivery of technical and professional training programs. Essential job functions include:

  • Design and execute engaging and interactive training programs using a variety of training methodologies, including classroom, distance, and online learning.
  • Deliver training on specific technical skills, such as software applications, IT systems, and other technical tools.
  • Facilitate sessions on communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and other essential soft skills.
  • Ability to create effective supporting course materials, including documentation, design documents, and eLearning materials.
  • Demonstrate an ongoing willingness to learn about innovative learning solutions, learning delivery methods, and learning content.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts, internal clients, and other stakeholder to ensure training content is relevant and up to date.
  • Write precisely, converting complex information into simple, readable form.
  • Project self-confidence, authority, and enthusiasm as well as master a fluid presentation in a classroom environment.
  • Conduct consistent firm-wide new hire orientation training including, but not limited to, programming, curriculum, development, and communications as well as evaluation of information and material.
  • Communicate verbally in a professional and effective manner.
  • Ability to work well with a team.
  • Evaluate the need for training, continued training, and retraining as necessary.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • 4‐year degree with major coursework in Training and Instructional Design or commensurate experience.
  • 3-5 years experience as an instructional designer in a professional services environment.
  • 3-5 years experience facilitating training programs in a classroom environment.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of training methodology.
  • Ability to carry out the function of the position in a confidential manner.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material.
  • Ability to perform effectively with moderate supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, including the ability to meet flexible time demands.

Compensation And Benefits

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

  • State of California: $66,000 - $127,000
  • State of Colorado: $61,000 - $109,000
  • Jersey City, NJ: $72,000 - $131,000
  • State of Maryland: $64,000 - $98,000
  • State of Massachusetts: $66,000 - $127,000
  • State of New York: $62,000 - $134,000
  • State of Washington: $64,000 - $122,000
  • Washington, D.C.: $86,000 - $126,000

The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
