Job Title: K-12 Construction Superintendent

Location: Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Triangle Area, NC

Salary: Up to $130,000/year

About Us

We are a leading construction firm specializing in K-12 educational projects in the Triangle area. We are seeking a K-12 Construction Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations of school construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. They will also provide regular updates on progress to key stakeholders and ensure effective communication between all parties involved.

Responsibilities

• Construction Oversight: Supervise all on-site activities for K-12 construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plan.
• Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate the efforts of subcontractors, laborers, and other on-site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
• Schedule Management: Oversee the day-to-day project schedule and ensure work is completed on time and within project timelines.
• Quality Control: Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and compliance with building codes and regulations are maintained throughout the construction process.
• Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for field-related questions and updates, providing regular reports to the project manager and stakeholders.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve construction-related issues, delays, and conflicts to keep the project on track.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment on-site.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent field experience.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a construction superintendent, preferably in K-12 educational facilities or similar projects.
• Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Certifications: OSHA certification or other relevant safety certifications preferred.
