Information Security Manager

Summary

This hands-on technical leadership role oversees security administration, encompassing Firewalls, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Logging/SIEM, Anti-Virus, and Vulnerability Management technologies. It includes managing a team of security professionals and ensuring effective deployment, supervision, and operation of security tools and processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Implemented and maintained security operations tools, processes, and procedures to deliver a secure enterprise computing environment.
• Managed network security components, including firewalls and Secure Access Secure Edge (SASE) solutions.
• Led or participated in security incident management as needed.
• Directed the Security Operations team by developing work plans, assigning tasks, tracking workflows, and ensuring project goals were met.
• Oversaw recruitment, development, and performance management of Security Operations team members.
• Managed team activities for change management and problem resolution with a focus on timely outcomes.
• Conducted root cause analysis to improve efficiency and resolve recurring issues.
• Partnered with internal teams to adapt policies and procedures to align with evolving business and industry needs.
• Maintained inventories and contributed to budget planning and management.
• Proposed technical solutions and provided materials for organizational teams.
• Collaborated effectively with peers, leadership, vendors, and stakeholders to achieve objectives.
• Designed and implemented processes and procedures aligned with industry best practices, including defining and measuring service level objectives.
• Provided after-hours support and responded to critical requests as needed.
• Executed hands-on implementation and administration of security infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a team leadership role focused on security administration, with experience in deploying and managing encryption, antivirus, anti-intrusion, and authentication tools in a Microsoft Windows/Cisco environment.
• 5+ years of experience supporting security tools such as firewalls, SIEM/Logging, CASB or SASE platforms, DLP, Anti-virus or EDR solutions, MFA platforms, and Vulnerability Management solutions.
• Strong commitment to process and policy compliance.
• Proven ability to design and deliver technical solutions aligned with business needs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong service orientation and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Directory Services such as Entra, Active Directory, LDAP, or Okta Universal Directory.
• Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
• CISSP certification.
