ABOUT THE PROPERY


A privately owned, 95 room, boutique hotel in Boston's Back Bay, situated among the city's many cultural landmarks, universities, medical campuses, and areas of technological innovation.


ABOUT THE ROLE


We are seeking a Sales Manager to drive business growth and maintain our reputation for exceptional hospitality. We are looking for a high-energy, results-driven professional with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, Boston’s culture, and the New England market. The ideal candidate will have strong relationships with travel agents, a passion for networking, and the ability to generate new business.


As part of a family-owned and operated hotel, you’ll work alongside an experienced management team that values collaboration and professional development.


WHAT YOU'LL DO


  • Develop and maintain relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, and other key partners to drive revenue.
  • Actively seek out and secure new business opportunities through networking, site tours, and industry events.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and familiarization (FAM) trips, both locally and nationally.
  • Work closely with the revenue team to develop strategic pricing and rate management.
  • Organize and maintain a robust contact database, utilizing technology to track and manage leads effectively.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly sales meetings, arriving prepared with a clear agenda, goals, and progress updates.
  • Conduct site tours and host client events to showcase the hotel’s offerings.
  • Collaborate with all hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery and an outstanding guest experience.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR


  • Proven sales experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a boutique or luxury hotel setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Boston, New England, and key market segments.
  • Established relationships with travel agents and corporate travel planners.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Tech-savvy, with the ability to organize and maintain client data efficiently.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A team player with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Ability to travel for business development and industry events.
