The Rochambeau Roadside Inn, located at the gateway to historic Colonial Williamsburg, is an upcoming accommodation that boasts 22 rooms. Currently undergoing construction, the Rochambeau aims to offer visitors a unique blend of modern comfort and nostalgic charm, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a memorable stay with access to the heart of Williamsburg and the Historic Triangle. Independently owned and operated, the project is spearheaded by a team of locals who are deeply connected to the community.

We are seeking a dynamic person to fill our Guest Experience Manager position.

The Guest Experience Manager is responsible for the day-to-day onsite operations of the Inn ensuring all service standards are exceeded. They are responsible for overall guest satisfaction at the Inn, with enforcement of all company policies and procedures. The Guest Experience Manager will develop and implement Guest experience strategies and initiatives and uphold the Rochambeau Roadside Inn standards and culture.

In addition, but not limited to, the Guest Experience Manager will:

? Day-to-day management responsibilities include vendor coordination and oversight, quality control, sales and event tours, guest interaction, and support staff scheduling.

? Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a professional, friendly, service-oriented manner.

? Oversee multiple projects, people, and requests at once including greeting and registering guests, inspecting the grounds and rooms, answering guest questions, and handling Guest complaints.

? Assist in inventory ordering for the Inn, including food & beverage, supplies and linens.

? Solicit guest feedback regarding services and facilities and taking corrective action to solve deficiencies.

? Records management including incident reports, inventory and cost control.

? Maintain strong knowledge of local area, current events, and attractions.

? Engage with the Williamsburg hospitality and tourism community and carry out partnerships for the betterment of the Inn’s brand and our guests.

Guest Experience Manager Skills:

? Excellent communication skills - you have strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills, which are used to effectively interact with Guests, collaborate with internal teams, and convey ideas and feedback.

? Guest service skills - you are experienced in placing the Guest at the center of decision-making and continuously strive to exceed their expectations by staying on top of Guest support and Guest complaints, creating a powerful Guest experience strategy.

? Problem-solving skills - you can identify and address Guest issues, resolve conflicts, and find creative solutions to pain points.

? Leadership abilities - driving consumer-centric initiatives and influencing a positive workplace at The Rochambeau Roadside Inn.

? Adaptability - you can proactively respond to evolving Guest needs, industry trends, and shifting business dynamics.

? Emotional intelligence - a high level of emotional intelligence enables you to navigate the emotions of both Guests and team members, showing empathy when needed.

Job Type: Part-time, non-exempt

Must be able to be on call and available for a flexible schedule onsite, particularly during the high-demand periods from Thursdays through Sundays.

Ideal Candidates Possess

3-5 years of previous experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality.
