Fund Accountant

My client, an up and coming firm specializing in Private Equity and Venture Capital funds are looking to grow their team and bring in a number of Fund Accountants to service their ever increasing clientele.

NO DIRECT FUND ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED! They are very open to those interested in pivoting and have a genuine interest in the investment space. A general understanding of accounting concepts, journal entries and financial statements are the only must haves! Private Equity knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities for assigned funds, including but not limited to: NAV calculations, cash reconciliations, portfolio valuation, expense accruals, and investor capital activity.
• Prepare and review financial statements, investor reports, and regulatory filings in accordance with GAAP and industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables.
• Assist in the onboarding of new clients and funds, including setup of accounting systems and processes.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in public, corporate, or fund accounting, preferably with exposure to financial services clients but open to all sectors.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, open-minded, and strong work-ethic.
