THE ORGANIZATION
Ashley Addiction Treatment Center was founded in 1983 by two visionaries who knew the treatment of drug or alcohol addiction could be designed and effectively delivered in a holistic manner that compassionately considers the whole person and not just the disease. Innovative then, and innovative now, Ashley passionately continues its core mission “to transform and save human lives by integrating the science of medicine, the art of therapy, and the compassion of spirituality.” Organizationally strong, the organization rigorously adheres to its guiding principles, ethics, and a culture of excellence.
Position Summary
The Donor Relations Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of mid-level donors and prospects for Ashley’s ongoing capital campaign, maintaining the annual fund in partnership with the Director of Development, and planning and executing all fundraising events. This role collaborates closely with the Development team to implement an effective donor stewardship program, is a frontline fundraiser, and ensures successful event management for the department. This position reports to the Director of Development.

Position Summary

This role collaborates closely with the Development team to implement an effective donor stewardship program, is a frontline fundraiser, and ensures successful event management for the department. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a portfolio of mid-level donors and prospects for the campaign and beyond.
- Manage the portfolio of annual fund prospects, including donor acquisition and upgrades, by developing and implementing effective donor cultivation and stewardship programs.
- Plan and execute all fundraising events, including timeline management, vendor communication, budget management, and marketing support.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, fostering engagement and cultivating long-term support.
- Manage the stewardship program that will ensure all donors feel appreciated and understand the true impact of their gift.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Marketing and Finance, to ensure coordinated and effective fundraising efforts.
- Collaborate with other departments (Alumni, Clinical, etc.) to identify potential advocates and supporters.
- Coordinate with all Ashley events that are outside of Development to ensure the needs of the Development team are incorporated into the events. (Alumni Reunion, etc.)
In addition to the role responsibilities, each staff member of the organization has the following general responsibilities as part of their employment:
- Model and reinforce the organization's mission and core values.
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
- Protect patient's personal health information by maintaining compliance with relevant privacy and security regulations, including HIPAA.
- Support the organization's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of experience in fundraising and fundraising events/activities required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, staff, donors, alumni, vendors, and visitors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Familiarity with Raiser's Edge or similar donor database software.
