Who you are: Spiceworks Ziff Davis is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to lead our Wholesale Sales and Business Development activities targeting prospective clients in the US market via our wholly owned brand Ziff Davis Performance Marketing. What you’ll do: Reporting directly to the Global Head of Demand Generation, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by selling leads through our content syndication programs to key decision-makers within lead generation providers.
In addition to driving revenue growth, the Sales Director will be responsible for qualifying prospects, assessing their needs, and developing tailored proposals to effectively address their specific business challenges. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our sales strategy and contribute to our continued success and growth.

Note: Disclosure as required by NYCHRL, the base salary range for this role when being performed in the City of New York is up to $160,000 (plus commission). Compensation for this business unit specific role is based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, as well as business & company performance.

In addition to driving revenue growth, the Sales Director will be responsible for qualifying prospects, assessing their needs, and developing tailored proposals to effectively address their specific business challenges. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our sales strategy and contribute to our continued success and growth.
What will be your responsibilities?
- Prospect, qualify, and develop new business opportunities with a focus on generating revenue from wholesale sales leads.
- Communicate effectively the value proposition of our sales leads and how they can impact the prospect's marketing ROI across marketing and sales departments.
- Develop tailored proposals that address the specific needs of prospective clients and present them through in-person and virtual meetings.
- Lead contract negotiation, development, and execution processes to ensure favorable terms for both parties.
- Devise and implement strategic sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and monitor performance against goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize sales processes and enhance overall sales effectiveness.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Operations Decision Makers, Partnership Managers, Directors, Heads of B2B Demand Generation/Lead Generation Providers, Lead Aggregators, and Selected Media Agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in selling digital marketing solutions to technology marketers or Omnichannel Marketing/LeadGen reseller partners.
- Proven track record of channel sales success, with recognition such as President’s Club or similar accolades.
- In-depth understanding of the B2B marketing landscape within technology companies and agencies.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and other relevant sales automation tools.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time for client meetings and company events.
