About Us

Tracera is a rapidly scaling SaaS company in the ESG and sustainability space, helping businesses streamline data collection and navigate complex regulatory requirements. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Director of Strategy & Operations to ensure seamless internal operations, oversee finance and people functions, drive analytics and reporting, and act as a strategic partner to the CEO and CTO.


Role Overview

The Director of Strategy & Operations will be responsible for building scalable processes, overseeing G&A functions (Finance, HR, Investor Relations), driving analytics and reporting, and supporting the leadership team in executing strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for a former consultant with experience supporting Series A startups in optimizing operations, structuring for scale, and driving strategic projects.

You will act as a force multiplier for the CEO and CTO, ensuring leadership has the data, insights, and operational support needed to make informed decisions and scale the business effectively.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Business Decision Support

  • Act as a thought partner to the CEO, providing data-driven insights to guide business strategy and resource allocation.
  • Aggregate internal and external insights to inform decision-making on growth, efficiency, and operational improvements.
  • Lead analytics and reporting, ensuring key business metrics are tracked, analyzed, and communicated to leadership and investors.
  • Identify and evaluate strategic alliances, supporting partnership negotiations that align with Tracera’s growth strategy.
  • Own and drive CEO strategic projects, ensuring execution across cross-functional initiatives.

Operations & Organizational Scaling

  • Optimize internal operations and processes, ensuring the company is set up for sustainable scaling.
  • Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and accounts receivable/payable (AR/AP) in collaboration with Finance.
  • Manage people operations (HR, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and company culture initiatives).
  • Implement operational systems and processes to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and execution across teams.
  • Serve as a cross-functional connector, ensuring seamless coordination across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Finance.

Investor Relations & Fundraising Support

  • Lead investor relations and reporting, ensuring leadership and investors have clear visibility into company performance.
  • Support the CEO in fundraising efforts, preparing investor materials, financial models, and due diligence documentation.
  • Ensure operational and financial transparency to support investor confidence and long-term strategic planning.

Executive-Level Enablement & Leadership Support

  • Be a force multiplier for the CEO and CTO, ensuring leadership’s strategic priorities are well-executed across the organization.
  • Drive cross-functional execution on high-impact initiatives, removing bottlenecks and ensuring alignment on key objectives.
  • Provide structured frameworks and data-driven insights to support executive decision-making.


Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years in consulting (e.g., Bain, McKinsey, BCG) or strategic operations roles in a high-growth B2B SaaS startup.
  • Experience overseeing financial operations, investor reporting, HR/people operations, and internal business processes in a scaling company.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proven ability to structure and optimize internal operations, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—proactive, adaptable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with leadership, investors, and external partners.
