About the Role

The Talent Source has been engaged to lead the search for a dynamic Director of Data & Analytics to drive our client's data strategy, governance, and analytics capability within a high-growth, private equity-backed environment. As a key member of the IT leadership team, this individual will design and implement a scalable data framework, ensuring seamless data integration, storage, and consumption to support strategic business objectives. This role presents a unique opportunity to shape a data-driven culture and unlock valuable insights that drive innovation and operational excellence.

This role is instrumental in unlocking predictive and affirmative analytics, optimizing business intelligence, and enhancing data governance to drive commercial success. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise, and leadership acumen to build a best-in-class data organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Own & execute a robust data strategy that aligns with business objectives.
• Architect a scalable data framework that integrates structured and unstructured data in a modern scalable data platform.
• Own & oversee the Master Data Management (MDM), Product Information Management (PIM), and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
• Implement AI/ML and predictive analytics solutions to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership to deliver actionable insights.
• Build and lead a high-impact data function, fostering a data driven culture across the organization.
• Ensure compliance & governance best practices for secure, efficient data management.

What We’re Looking For

• 12+ years of progressive data engineering and data architecture experience, with at least 5 years Data Leadership
• Expertise deploying modern cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, NoSql, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of data governance, integration, and security best practices.
• Experience managing MDM, PIM, and DAM solutions.
• Proven ability to scale data infrastructure in a high-growth environment driven by mergers & acquisitions.
• Strategic mindset with strong business acumen—ability to translate data into revenue-driving insights.
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (Computer Science, Data Science, Informatics)
• Experience in industrial, or distribution sectors preferred, private-equity is a plus.
