Job Summary

You will actively work with various operations personnel and financial management and become an intricate component of our progressive team environment. Efficiency, accuracy, and advancement are crucial elements within the costing team. You will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and streamlining how financial reports are compiled and executed. You will perform month-end cost accounting close.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

?Completion of monthly financial close activities.

?Monthly calculation of commissions.

?Booking journal entries (including payroll).

?Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.

?Performing monthly bank reconciliations.

?Verification of monthly actual costs from standard costs.

?Preparation of month end closing reports.

?Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.

?Partner with operations personnel to provide advice and technical assistance with operational transactions or processes and correlate the correct financial accounting.

?Identify anomalies within various data sets.

?Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrections where needed.

?Preparation and presentation of monthly manufacturing performance results.

?Review and test the adequacy of the standard costing system and costing reports.

?Perform and report on results of periodic audits of inventories (Work in Process, Finished Goods/Raw Materials).

?Review BOMS and routings for accuracy.

?Develop more efficient and accurate manufacturing reporting.

?Assist in special assignments as needed.

?Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets for review by upper management.

Qualifications Desired Skills & Experience:

?Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 3 to 5 years of manufacturing cost accounting, auditing, or other relevant experience. MBA/CPA would be a plus.

?Strong communication, presentation, analytical, time management and problem-solving skills.

?Ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as able to adapt to a changing environment.

?Meticulous attention to detail.

?Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.

?Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.

?Experience with manufacturing standard cost environment.

?High level of dedication to meeting customer requests and required time commitments.

?Aptitude for relating manufacturing activities, system transactions, and processes to financial outcomes.
