Your Role

• Lead a team of engineers in the coordination and execution of field investigations, laboratory testing, and in-depth geotechnical analyses for a variety of projects, including foundational systems, stability studies, and ground improvement.
• Develop, review, and refine project deliverables, such as technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications, ensuring they meet all project requirements and exceed client expectations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring technical excellence and fostering professional development.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive geotechnical services across a range of engineering projects.
• Act as the primary geotechnical engineer and/or project manager, taking ownership of project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Engage in business development by preparing proposals, expanding relationships with existing clients, and identifying new opportunities to grow the firm’s presence.
• Assist senior leadership in expanding client relationships, driving both business development and service delivery excellence.

About You

With a P.E. license and a background in geotechnical engineering, you bring not just experience, but a passion for safety, innovation, and collaboration. Your expertise and leadership will enhance our Geotechnical Practice and deliver meaningful projects that impact communities nationwide.

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 8+ years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record in leading teams and managing high-complexity projects.
• Strong expertise in geotechnical analysis and design, including foundations, earthworks, retaining systems, and ground improvement solutions.
• Experience with geotechnical field investigations, testing protocols, and technical report writing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and project teams.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License is required; additional certifications such as Geotechnical Engineer (GE) are advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with strong attention to detail and project management skills.
