Do you find yourself struggling to solve a problem and having difficulty figuring out the best way to approach it? Consider using a rubber duck.
You might be inclined to laugh or roll your eyes at this suggestion, but hear me out. Author Daniel Pink recently shared a TikTok video in which he suggests using a rubber duck to help solve problems.
The concept is simple. When you're stuck on a problem, explain it to the rubber duck as if you're teaching it to someone else. By doing so, you're essentially breaking down the problem and analyzing it step by step, which can help you identify potential solutions.
So next time you're stuck on a problem, grab a rubber duck and give this method a try. You might be surprised by how effective it can be.

1 年Great article Brice Hogan. I've seen people getting stuck over and over again, unable to get around the problem. I firmly believe there is always a solution for every problem - you just need to take some time out, become quiet and meditate about it. Taking a "nap" (just lying down with my eyes closed, visualizing the problem) also works well for me to break the problem down and then find a step-by-step solution.

1 年Teaching or explaining to someone else is the best way to learn or truely understand a problem. Thanks for sharing Brice Hogan
