Primary Responsibilities

• Ensures production staff are properly trained to safely execute job assignments
• Ensures all material and parts are readily available for scheduled production throughout shop
• Verifies all machine operator checklists are executed daily and issues are communicated to production management and maintenance staff
• Ensures clear understanding and execution of all in-process quality checks
• Ensures daily 5S cleaning assignments are executed throughout shop
• Continuously identifies opportunities for improvement and communicates to production management
• Maintains a strong and collaborative work environment throughout the shop
• Safely and effectively operates computer-aided systems
  
  

Qualifications And Requirements

• Holds employees accountable to PPE standards & all areas of safety
• Ensures housekeeping is adhered to throughout the shop
• Ensures timely shift start and strong shift stop through the end of the shift
• Drives cross-functional cohesion throughout the operation. Understands the bigger picture and supports needs of operation when needed.
• Is willing to do what it takes to get the job done safely and efficiently
• Proactive problem solver
• Consistently provides proper direction & training for all employees, equitably. Willingness to contribute to development, learn, adapt & execute new processes and procedures.
• Consistently achieves high quality and volume targets throughout shop
