Analytics Engineer

Summary: The Analytics Engineer is a key member of the Data Science team that will focus primarily on designing, developing, and maintaining the analytics infrastructure that supports our data-driven decision-making processes. The role involves transforming data into actionable insights and building robust data pipelines to support business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will be adept at collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets, developing reports and dashboards, and engineering data solutions to ensure data accuracy and accessibility. Collaboration with various departments to understand their data needs and provide technical solutions is key to this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relevant and reliable dashboards, reports, and other data products that support business needs
• Collaborate with business users, data scientists, and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability
• Design and build analytical data models that are performant at scale
• Document processes, workflows, and solutions for knowledge sharing and future reference
• Work closely with Data Engineering to capture, move, store, and transform raw data into highly actionable insights
• Build and optimize data integration workflows to connect data from different systems and platforms
• Develop a solid understanding of the technical details of data domains, and clearly understand what business problems are being solved
• Utilize data-driven storytelling techniques to effectively communicate insights and recommendations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in a data-related or technical discipline
• 3+ years of experience in a related field or position with strong analytical aptitude
• 2+ years of experience with dashboard development in PowerBI and DAX
• 2+ years of experience with relational databases
• High proficiency in SQL and Python
• Solid understanding of relational database concepts
• Proficient in building and publishing customized interactive reports and dashboards
• Azure Databricks and Apache Spark experience and proficiency highly preferred
• Functional understanding of Dynamics 365 / CRM platforms a plus
• Ability to be proactive and collaborative in ambiguous situations
• Ability to effectively analyze business problems and translate into technical requirements
• Ability to work at varying speeds and under timeframe pressure, while maintaining extremely high standards
• Aptitude for business math, statistics, and analysis
