Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Video Editor to join our team and lead cutting-edge video production projects focused on our high-quality research tools for membrane proteins, ion channels, GPCRs, and transporters. Starting as a contract position with potential for full-time employment, this role offers flexibility in work arrangements and development opportunities based on mutual fit. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in AI-powered video editing, with a life sciences background being a significant advantage. You will work closely with our scientific team to create compelling content that showcases our products to researchers across our global markets, including the US, China, Germany, UK, Canada, Japan, Korea, France, and Italy.

Core Responsibilities

• Create and edit high-quality videos using AI-powered tools and traditional editing software, with a focus on presenting our membrane protein research tools and technologies
• Develop and manage avatar-based video content using Synthesia/ Heygen, particularly for demonstrating the applications of our ion channels, GPCRs, and transporter products
• Generate and edit professional voiceovers using ElevenLabs, ensuring accurate scientific terminology pronunciation
• Collaborate with marketing and scientific teams to develop video content strategies across various social media platforms
• Optimize video content for multiple languages and cultural contexts, serving our diverse global market
• Manage complex video projects from conception to final delivery, maintaining scientific accuracy throughout
• Work with various video formats and templates to meet diverse project requirements
• Stay current with the latest AI video editing technologies and life science communication trends

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 5 years of professional video editing experience

Demonstrated proficiency in:

• Synthesia/ Heygen for avatar video creation and management
• ElevenLabs for voiceover generation and editing
• Major AI video editing platforms (DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Runway, Sora, and Luma)
• Experience in syncing Synthesia/ Heygen avatars with ElevenLabs voiceovers
• Extensive experience with technical and educational video production
• Proven track record of working on global-scale campaigns in multiple languages
• Strong understanding of social media video requirements across platforms (YouTube, Meta, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok)
• Experience with the Opus platform
• Advanced skills in color grading, motion graphics, and sound design

Strong Advantages

• Background in life sciences (BSc/MSc/PhD) - This would be a significant advantage
• Experience in life sciences industry or scientific communication
• Demonstrated understanding of scientific research tools and laboratory techniques
• Previous work with biotechnology or research organizations
• Experience creating content for scientific audiences
• Familiarity with emerging AI video technologies like Veo 2
• Background in creating AI-generated content using tools like DALL-E or Midjourney
• Understanding of scientific visualization and technical demonstration requirements
