ABOUT THE ROLE

SUPER73 is hiring an Accounting Manager to work hybrid/onsite at our San Clemente, CA HQ! The Accounting Manager will be responsible for assisting with managing month end close processes and day to day accounting operations of the organization. This position is critical to ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to support both the Accounting and Finance departments. This individual will also have the opportunity to work in a cross functional capacity by collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to drive success in the accounting process. This role will report into the Director of Finance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Manage the full cycle of the accounting process, including AP/AR, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account adjustments.
• Support Finance in providing flux commentary for MoM and YoY results.
• Process financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts, with accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements across multiple entities, such as balance sheets and income statements, to ensure their accuracy and completeness.
• Apply cost accounting principles for inventory and cost management “and understand tax implications of the various approaches”.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records according to GAAP.
• Generate and analyze reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
• Manage year-end audit process, including preparing schedules and providing audit requests.
• Manage tax request coordination at year end.
• Oversee compliance areas, including sales tax and other accounting-related regulations.
• Supervise an external accounting team or junior staff.
• Assist with cash flow management.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Profession certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or MST (Master of Science in Taxation) are a plus.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, 2-3 years in a managerial position.
• Hands on experience with inventory-heavy industries (e.g., retail, manufacturing, or wholesale).
• Ability to optimize financial workflows and enhance ERP and accounting tech stack utilization (NetSuite preferred)
• Knowledge of procurement and production planning in a finance/accounting context.
• Strong understanding of purchase orders, receiving and invoicing processes (3-way matching) in addition to GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Ramp).
• Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

COMPENSATION:

The salary range in CA for this role is $100,000-$120,000 annually and represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
